The work
What the work actually looks like
Owner-direct controls work is different from subcontract work. You spend more time with the people who operate the building and less time inside a construction schedule. The problems are more varied — an obsolete controller here, a sequence nobody documented there, a lighting system installed to pass inspection and never tuned.
Because engineering, installation, commissioning and service sit in the same organisation, technicians see the consequences of design decisions and engineers see what actually happens in the field. That feedback loop is the point.
